Founded in 2002 in response to 9/11, the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a community-based, civilian, volunteer program that helps build the public health infrastructure of communities nationwide. Each MRC unit is organized and trained to address a wide range of challenges from public health education to disaster response.

The Green River District Medical Reserve Corps Unit is committed to improving the health, safety, and resiliency of the communities in and around the Green River District. We serve our seven county district (Daviess, Ohio, Hancock, McLean, Union, Henderson, and Webster) through planned deployments, exercises, educational outreach, emergency deployments and addressing community needs.

The Medical Reserve Corps is open to community members with a wide range of backgrounds and ages. Everyone can play a role in the MRC and all are welcome to join. If you are interested in joining or learning more, please see the resources below.
