Building Stronger Families

Building Stronger Families (BSF) is a home visitation program for families with children birth to 18 years old. The program is voluntary and the service is without charge. BSF believes all parents want to be the best parents they can be.

The program educates parents on positive parenting skills through an evidence-based curriculum. Home visitors assist families in setting goals and achieving them. In addition, home visitors link families to available community services.

The mission of BSF is that families and children will live in a healthy, safe and nurturing environment. The goal is that children will grow into healthy, self-sufficient adults. Parents will gain confidence in their discipline methods as well as achieving self-sufficiency.

The program is available in all seven Green River counties: Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, McLean, Ohio, Union and Webster.

Funding is in whole or in part from federal, CHFS, or other state funds. BSF is a United Way Agency.
