Compassionate Care Adult Day Center serves individuals aged 21 and older who require supervision, medical monitoring, or who are at risk of social isolation due to medical or developmental conditions. All participants must be under the care of a physician. The Center proudly serves residents of Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, McLean, Ohio, Union, and Webster counties.
Services are available through the Medicaid Home and Community Based Waiver or by private pay.
Comprehensive Services
A team of compassionate professionals creates a nurturing environment where each person is treated with respect and care. Services offered are designed to support each client’s physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Health and Nursing Services: A Registered Nurse is on duty at all times to provide medical oversight. Nursing services include continuous monitoring of health conditions, medication administration and support, wound care, and other skilled nursing needs.
- Personal Care Assistance: Participants receive support with daily living activities such as feeding, grooming, toileting, and mobility in a safe and supervised setting.
- Engaging Activities: Therapeutic and recreational programs are offered designed to promote cognitive function, physical activity, and social engagement. Clients enjoy activities like bingo, arts and crafts, music, and karaoke.
- Nutritional Support: Participants are served breakfast (as needed), a hot lunch, and an afternoon snack each day. All meals are tailored to meet individual dietary needs.
- Individualized Care Planning: Staff members collaborate with each participant’s physician, case manager, and caregivers to develop a personalized plan of care that promotes optimal health.
The facility includes a day room, kitchen, television lounge, activity room, shower, and laundry area, creating a safe and home-like setting.

Compassionate Care Adult Day Center is located at 1600 Breckenridge Street, Owensboro, KY, in the Daviess County Community Health Center.
The Center is open Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
